Users who like to track their daily movement and exercise routines have another great reason to get active this month. The tech giant Apple is bringing back its annual fitness event to honor those who served in the military. This special activity is set to take place on Wednesday, November 11, and it gives owners of the popular smartwatch a fun way to earn some unique digital rewards.

Users just need an eleven minute workout to win rewards

The rules for this one day event are very simple. Anyone wearing an Apple Watch just needs to complete any workout that lasts for at least 11 minutes on Veterans Day. You do not need to do any specific type of hard exercise to qualify for the prize. A quick walk, a short yoga session, or a brief bike ride will all count toward the goal.

To make sure your effort is counted, you must record the activity using the built in Workout app or any other third party application that syncs data with the Health app on your phone.

People who finish the task will unlock a special badge inside their Fitness app. Along with the shiny new award, winners also get a set of animated stickers. You can send these exclusive digital stickers to friends and family through the Messages and FaceTime apps.

You should see an official alert pop up on your wrist a few days before the event kicks off. The activity is open to everyone who owns the watch, not just veterans, making it an easy and accessible way to set a small health goal while marking the holiday.

Taking just a few minutes out of the day to move around is a great habit to build. These regular digital events provide a nice little push to keep you motivated and moving throughout the holiday season.
