Amazon cut the M5 MacBook Air again. The 13-inch model with 1TB is now $1,349, $250 off its $1,599 list price and $50 less than the price we reported on October 30. The 15-inch MacBook Air starts at $1,299, $200 off, and the base 13-inch model is $1,099 in every color.
We checked every price and stock level below on Amazon on November 8, 2026, and Amazon.com is the seller on all of them. Every color we checked was in stock. Prices on the 24GB models haven’t moved, so the savings sit in the 16GB configurations.

The $1,349 model is the one to buy because 1TB also gets you the 10-core GPU
The base 13-inch MacBook Air ships with an 8-core GPU. Apple puts the full 10-core GPU in the 1TB model. So for $250 more than the $1,099 base model, you double your storage and get 25 percent more GPU cores. You can’t add storage to a MacBook Air later, so this is the upgrade most people end up wishing they’d paid for.
The 24GB model at $1,599 makes sense if you run local AI apps, keep a lot of apps open or plan to keep the Mac for five years or more. For school, writing, browsing and photo edits, 16GB is fine.
The 15-inch MacBook Air at $1,299 costs $200 more than the 13-inch for a bigger screen and GPU
The 15-inch Air includes the 10-core GPU in every configuration, a 15.3-inch display and a bigger battery. At $1,299 for 512GB, it costs $200 more than the base 13-inch and $50 less than the 13-inch 1TB model. If you want screen space more than storage, take the 15-inch. If you want the storage, take the 13-inch at $1,349.
What you get in the M5 MacBook Air Apple launched in March
Apple released the M5 MacBook Air in March 2026. Here’s what every model shares, from Apple’s announcement:
- M5 with a 10-core CPU and an 8-core or 10-core GPU
- 13.6-inch or 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display at 500 nits with support for 1 billion colors
- Up to 18 hours of battery life, by Apple’s numbers
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, MagSafe charging and support for two external displays
- 16GB or 24GB of unified memory and 512GB or 1TB of storage
The Air has no fan, so it’s silent under any load. If you need longer sustained performance or a brighter screen, Apple’s 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 starts at $1,999. For most people, the 13-inch Air at $1,349 does the job for $650 less.
