The first season starts after two officers answer a fake emergency call and are brutally murdered. Thomas eventually discovers that the killings form part of a revenge campaign connected to an incident from two years earlier, while the investigation forces him to work closely with Alfred despite their damaged relationship.

Peter Johansson is eventually exposed as the killer. His former partner Hugo Brankovic died after backup failed to arrive during an emergency, pushing Peter toward a carefully planned campaign against the police. However, the finale reveals that Lucas Lind had failed to properly handle the calls for backup and later erased evidence to protect himself.

Peter survives his final confrontation with Thomas and is arrested, while Alfred also survives after being stabbed and shot. Thomas and Alfred later appear together again, suggesting that their relationship has started to recover.

Blood Sacrifice Season 2 theories

One obvious Season 2 storyline involves the consequences for Lucas. His cover-up helped create the circumstances behind Peter’s revenge, and another season could examine whether Thomas exposes him publicly and how far the police department goes to protect its own leadership.

Peter also remains alive. Keeping the killer in custody gives the writers several options, including bringing him back during another investigation or having Thomas question him when a new case connects to corruption inside the force.

The strongest direction, however, involves Thomas and Alfred taking on another case together. Creator George Kay has described the father-son relationship as the emotional center of the series, and their uneasy reconciliation gives a second season somewhere meaningful to begin.

Natalie Eklund could also receive a larger role. She proved important during the original investigation, and a new police case could turn Thomas, Alfred and Natalie into the show’s recurring investigative team.

Netflix has not confirmed Blood Sacrifice Season 2, so these remain theories rather than announced storylines. With Peter alive, Lucas facing possible consequences and Thomas rebuilding his relationship with Alfred, however, the finale leaves several routes open.
