Episode 5 arrives after “Karambits and Pieces” changed Reacher’s understanding of the case and left him in serious trouble. The investigation into Anna Merrick, the missing flash drive and Congressman John Sampson has become much larger, while Lila and Amisha Hoth have emerged as central figures in the conspiracy.

Episode 4 also ends with Reacher entering a hotel room filled with bodies just before law enforcement arrives, leaving him standing at what looks like a crime scene created to implicate him. At the same time, Lila and Amisha reveal their connection to the distinctive karambit knives linked to the violence surrounding the investigation.

“Bridge” should therefore pick up with Reacher dealing with the immediate consequences of that setup while trying to understand exactly how the Hoths fit into the wider operation.

Season 4 has reached its halfway point

Season 4 adapts “Gone Tomorrow,” the 13th Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child. The story begins when Reacher encounters a distressed woman on a Philadelphia subway, an incident that eventually pulls him into a conspiracy involving powerful people and sensitive government information.

The first half of the season has gradually connected Anna’s death to government records, Indonesia, the missing flash drive and several groups willing to kill for the information. Episode 4 finally brought several of those threads together, making Episode 5 an important point in the season.

Previous seasons have followed the same basic structure of giving Reacher a largely self-contained investigation. Season 1 adapted “Killing Floor,” while later seasons moved to different Lee Child novels and introduced new groups of allies and enemies around Alan Ritchson’s character.

Season 4 continues that approach with Sydelle Noel, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan and Kathleen Robertson among the new cast members.

When are the remaining Reacher Season 4 episodes coming out?

After Episode 5 on August 26, Prime Video has three episodes left in the season. Episode 6, “Plum Out of Luck,” arrives September 2, Episode 7, “Vote For Sampson,” follows on September 9, and Episode 8, “Cut,” closes the season on September 16.

The September 16 finale will also coincide with the launch of all eight episodes of “Neagley,” the Reacher spin-off starring Maria Sten as Frances Neagley.

With Reacher framed at a bloody crime scene and the Hoths finally showing their true intentions, Episode 5 has plenty to resolve before the season moves into its final three chapters. What do you think Reacher will do next in “Bridge”? Let us know in the comments.
