• I’ve only given investment advice once in my life. I told my dad he should buy AAPL when it was less than $20. He didn’t (understandably — he was a successful businessman and I was a college student). These days he will occasionally bring up the fact that I gave him the best investment tip in history. What I most regret is that I didn’t just ask him if I could borrow some money to buy Apple stock myself. He probably would have gone for that.

  In the article theres a thread where someone comments “if you had bought $1000 of Apple in 1996 it would be worth ~half a million now”.
  In 1996 my wife wanted to put $2000 into Apple.
