The step from AirPods 5 to AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case costs $20 in the United States, which is about 16 percent on top of the $129 base. Apple’s regional newsrooms show the same step priced very differently: about 20 percent in India, about 14 percent in Australia and about 10 percent in Singapore.
The buds are the same in every store, so this is purely what each storefront charges for a case that adds wireless charging, a Find My speaker and volume swipe. Three of Apple’s big European storefronts have published no AirPods 5 price at all, which is the other half of the story. Prices for both models are in our AirPods 5 launch coverage.

India pays the most for the case, Singapore the least
At about 20 percent of the base price, the Indian step is the steepest published anywhere: 3,000 rupees on a 14,900 rupee product. Singapore is the flattest at about 10 percent, and Australia sits below the US at about 14 percent.

Every figure above comes from Apple’s own regional press releases, which give starting prices only. These are Apple’s list prices in each storefront, not street prices, and Apple has published no discount, bundle or trade-in credit on either AirPods 5 model in any market.
The Singapore page contradicts itself
Apple’s Singapore release is the one number set to treat carefully. Its pricing section gives S$199 and S$219, while the introduction of the same release names S$129 and S$199. We have used the pricing section, and flag the rest rather than quietly pick a winner.
Singapore is also the market where Apple dates AirPods 5 pre-orders to Friday, September 11 rather than September 9. The in-store date is Friday, September 18 everywhere.
Three storefronts with no published price
Apple’s UK, German and French newsrooms had not published the AirPods 5 release when we checked, so there is no official AirPods 5 price in pounds or euros to report. That is not the same as a delay to the product, since the September 18 date covers the US and more than 65 countries and regions.

Why converting these to dollars gets it wrong
The percentages above are safe to compare because each is worked out inside its own currency. The absolute figures are not, because the tax treatment differs: Australia quotes prices including GST, Japan quotes them tax included, and US prices exclude sales tax entirely.
Run all seven through a currency converter and you produce a ranking of tax regimes as much as of Apple pricing. The useful question is the local one: what does the case cost as a share of the earbuds you were going to buy anyway.
What Apple has not said
Apple has not published a standalone or replacement price for the Wireless Charging Case in any market, so there is no published route to add wireless charging after the fact. It has not published UK, German or French prices, has not explained the Singapore discrepancy, and publishes no per-configuration shipping estimate for either model. There is no AppleCare price for AirPods 5 on any storefront we could read.
Both models have been available to pre-order since September 9, with Singapore from September 11, and reach stores on Friday, September 18. The UK, German and French figures are the ones to watch between now and then, because they are the storefronts we checked where Apple has published no AirPods 5 price at all.
