Apple Announces First-Ever Developer Center in Europe, Opening in Berlin

Apple has announced plans to open Europe’s first Apple Developer Center in Berlin later this year, giving developers across the region direct access to Apple experts, workshops, and hands-on support. The new facility will be located in Berlin’s Mitte district and will join existing Apple Developer Centers in Bengaluru, Cupertino, Shanghai, and Singapore.

The company said the center will serve developers at every stage of app development, from independent creators to larger teams looking to improve their apps across Apple’s platforms. Developers will be able to attend in-person sessions, workshops, and one-on-one appointments while also accessing consultation areas and dedicated labs staffed by Apple experts in multiple languages.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations, highlighted the importance of Europe’s developer community in the announcement.

“Europe is home to an extraordinary community of developers who are building apps that create connections, encourage creativity, and drive innovation. We have always believed that when developers have the right tools and resources to do their best work, incredible things follow. That belief is what this center is built on, and we look forward to seeing what the community continues to develop.”

Apple said the Berlin center will host regular events focused on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS development. The company wants to help developers improve the design, quality, and performance of their apps while also providing direct access to technical guidance from Apple specialists.

The announcement comes as Apple continues to expand its developer programs across Europe. According to the company, App Store storefronts across the region recorded more than 150 million average weekly users in 2025, giving developers access to a large and active audience.

Part of Apple’s Broader Developer Investment

The Berlin center builds on existing initiatives such as the Swift Student Challenge, Apple Developer Academies, and Apple Foundation Programs in Italy and France. Apple also noted that developers can access more than 250,000 APIs through frameworks including HealthKit, Metal, Core ML, MapKit, and SwiftUI.

With the new Berlin facility, Apple is creating a dedicated space where European developers can learn new skills, receive direct support, and stay up to date with the latest tools and technologies across the Apple ecosystem.
