Apple is expanding its 50th anniversary festivities to France by hosting a series of exclusive events at its flagship store on the Champs-Elysees in Paris. While celebrations in the United States, China, and South Korea featured single gatherings, the French division has organized four unique “Today at Apple” sessions. These hour long presentations will take place over two days on March 25 and March 26.
Evening conversations on music and visual arts
The schedule kicks off with an evening session on Wednesday, March 25 at 6:00 PM local time. Music journalist Naomi Clement will interview graphic artist So Me about his iconic projects and his approach to blending visual arts with music. The following evening, Clement returns to interview Boombass. The renowned producer and musician will discuss the evolution of French Touch, the highly influential 1990s style of electronic dance music.
Afternoon sessions exploring digital creation
Afternoon events begin at 3:00 PM on both days. The Wednesday afternoon session features producer and DJ Myd. He plans to break down his creative process and offer a live demonstration of GarageBand, keeping the focus on the French Touch musical genre.
On Thursday afternoon, the focus shifts to SOPORI FM. This fictional radio station is actually a relaxing electronic music album currently available on Apple Music. During this unique presentation, creator TRENTE will collaborate with artist Pi Ja Ma, who will create visual stories on an iPad in real time.
The Champs-Elysees location holds historical significance for the company. Apple previously celebrated its 40th anniversary in France at this exact store in 2021 by opening a dedicated Apple Music radio studio.
