Apple Maps ads are getting closer to launch in the US and Canada, with Apple now allowing businesses to book advertising campaigns before users start seeing sponsored placements inside the Maps app.
Businesses can begin setting up campaigns from today, while Apple prepares to introduce ads in two parts of the Apple Maps search experience. The company is also offering a limited-time promotion for eligible advertisers that sign up early.

Where Apple Maps ads will appear
Apple Maps ads will show up in two main locations:
- Suggested Places on the search screen before users enter a search.
- Search results after users look for a relevant business, service, or location.
Apple says businesses can start or stop campaigns without long-term commitments, while advertisers will pay based on the result they want from each campaign.
The company is also offering a Grand Opening Promo for eligible businesses that book Maps ads using a credit card by October 11, 2026. Advertisers can receive 15% back as a monthly statement credit for up to one year, with credits capped at $1,000 per month.
Apple says its advertising system will not buy, sell, or share user data with other companies, while its ad platform will also avoid linking Apple app data with third-party data for advertising.
