Apple Starts Notifying Developers for WWDC 2026 Lottery Attendance at Apple Park

Apple has started notifying developers and students about their selection status for the WWDC 2026 in-person event, which will take place at Apple Park on June 8, giving selected attendees a chance to join the keynote and connect directly with Apple engineers during a full day of sessions and activities.

The company opened applications on March 23 and gave developers one week to express interest, after which it used a lottery system to randomly select attendees, a process Apple introduced years ago to manage high demand instead of selling tickets on a first-come basis.

Developers and students who receive an invite will attend an all day event that begins with the keynote at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, followed by the Platforms State of the Union, guided Apple Park tours, and a dinner, while also getting time to interact with Apple experts and engineers in person.

Apple does not charge for the event itself, but attendees must cover travel, accommodation, and transport costs, which means international developers need to plan their trip early.

WWDC 2026 runs from June 8 to June 12, where Apple will unveil iOS 27, macOS 27, and other updates, while those who did not get selected can still watch sessions online through Apple’s developer app and website, which will host over 100 technical sessions and labs.
