LONDON – England is set to lockdown for a second time from 00:01 on Thursday. This includes the closing down of all shops deemed non-essential. However, AppleInsider reported that Apple Stores may continue to operate.

England Apple Stores to Stay Open?

The Apple Store in Cardiff, Wales, shut when the nation instigated a ‘firebreak’ lockdown. That will end on Monday, and the shop is set to reopen. The outlet in Belfast, Northern Ireland is also shut amid tighter restrictions there. Stores in Scotland remain open as it has not gone into a second lockdown. While I assumed Apple Stores in England would have to be closed from Thursday, at the time of this writing they are still scheduled to be open, according to the Apple website. The Mac Observer has reached out to the company for clarification and will update this story, and our list of open Apple Stores, as the situation develops.
