OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 with Intelligent UI in ChatGPT, allowing answers to include diagrams, comparisons, interactive controls and small tools when those formats suit the question. ChatGPT can still return a conventional text response when a visual interface would add little value.
OpenAI’s October 7 release notes say Intelligent UI can generate experiences such as calculators, bill splitters and games directly inside a conversation. GPT-6 can also begin answering while it continues reasoning or using tools, adding findings to the response without another prompt.
The paid rollout starts globally for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users in the Chat tab. Free and Go users begin receiving access the following day, while Enterprise availability can depend on workspace administrator settings.

Model access differs by plan and mode
OpenAI says paid ChatGPT plans use GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go accounts use GPT-6 Luna. Intelligent UI is available from Instant through Extra High reasoning, but the Pro reasoning option continues to use GPT-6 Astra and does not support the new interface system.
The release does not change the models powering Codex or ChatGPT Work. That distinction matters because seeing GPT-6 in the Chat model picker does not mean every OpenAI product switched to the same model or gained Intelligent UI.
OpenAI’s GPT-6 overview frames the feature as a way to match presentation to the task. Availability can still vary by account, region, application version and workspace settings while the rollout progresses.
Users can confirm access from the ChatGPT model picker and should expect the interface to vary by prompt.
