The update follows earlier reports that suggested Apple had encountered quality control issues during extensive hinge testing. However, the latest information indicates that those concerns have been addressed as development progresses.
Liquid metal offers several advantages over traditional metal alloys, including higher strength, improved wear resistance, and better protection against corrosion. Apple has used the material before in smaller components, but a foldable hinge would represent one of its most demanding applications to date.
Carrier Testing Signals Progress Toward Launch
