Apple released iOS 26.2 beta 1 yesterday with several visible updates, including changes to Apple Podcasts, the News app, and Sleep Score tracking. But developers have also spotted something new hidden in the code, a reference to an unannounced app or service called “Apple Creator Studio.”
The mention was first spotted by developer Aaron Perris, who shared the discovery on X. According to his post, iOS 26.2 beta 1 contains a line referencing “Apple Creator Studio,” though its purpose remains unclear. Apple has not commented on it yet.
Possible Link to Pro Apps on iPad
This finding follows another of Perris’s recent discoveries involving four new iPad versions of existing Mac apps: Pixelmator Pro, MainStage, Motion, and Compressor. All four are professional-grade tools, hinting that Apple may be preparing a broader suite for creators.
It has been speculated that “Apple Creator Studio” could serve as a central hub or bundle for Apple’s pro apps, possibly offering discounted access across Mac and iPad.
For now, it remains just a code reference, but it suggests Apple is working on something new for creative professionals. Future iOS 26.2 betas may reveal more details.
