Six days before the iPhone 18 Pro reaches stores, Apple’s iPhone manuals index does not list it, no new support document has appeared for any of the six products announced on September 9, and Apple has not priced a single repair for any of them.
Apple has published marketing pages, specs pages, press releases and environmental reports for the whole September lineup. The library people actually reach for when something breaks has not caught up.

What Apple’s own index pages show
The manuals index is the cleanest test, because it is a list Apple maintains rather than a document that has to be found. The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo are not on it. The security releases index is the second test, and its newest entry predates the event.

One caveat on the negatives. These are checks of Apple’s index pages, which is sound for anything Apple links from an index, but a brand-new standalone document that is not yet linked anywhere could exist and stay invisible. What can be said is that nothing has been indexed.
The repair prices nobody has
There is no published screen price, back glass price or battery service price for the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max or the iPhone Duo, and none for the Apple Watch Series 12, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 or AirPods 5.
AppleCare+ is the usual answer to that, and Apple has not published a per-device price for these products either. Apple Upgrade, which replaced the iPhone Upgrade Program, is a Klarna lease and explicitly excludes AppleCare, so the monthly route does not fill the gap. On a phone with a folding display the missing figure is larger still, and Apple has published nothing about what that panel costs to replace.

What Apple publishes instead of a repair price is a durability claim. Ceramic Shield 2 on the front with three times better scratch resistance than the previous generation, a Ceramic Shield back, an aluminum unibody and an IP68 rating for 6 meters for 30 minutes. Scratch resistance is not drop protection, and Apple does not claim it is.
If you are buying on September 18
- Back up before you update or transfer. Apple’s own update document has not been revised for iOS 27, so assume the steps you know are the current ones
- Plan the trade-in inside the window. Apple says a trade-in estimate is valid for 14 days after you receive the new device, and a specialist can re-evaluate the condition in store
- If your old device is not eligible for credit, Apple recycles it free, which is the one end-of-life route it does publish
- Do not budget for a repair yet. There is no number to budget against, for any of the six products

Apple’s support library normally lands with the software or with the hardware, which makes Monday, September 14 and Friday, September 18 the two dates to watch. Pre-orders open today at 5 a.m. Pacific, which is 12:00 UTC, and that decision has to be made without a repair price.
