Every local time Apple has published for the iPhone 18 Pro pre-order points at the same instant: 12:00 UTC on Saturday, September 12. Apple’s 5:00 a.m. PT, the 1:00 pm BST on its UK store page and the 9:00 pm on its Japanese one describe one moment rather than a staggered rollout, so no market opens before any other.
That is the useful thing to know if you are buying outside the US, because it rules out the idea of an earlier storefront. What Apple does not do is convert its own figure for every clock inside a market, and in Australia, Canada and New Zealand that leaves the arithmetic to the buyer.

Seven of those storefronts name a zone a buyer would recognise. Apple Canada quotes Pacific Time on a Canadian page, and Apple UAE names no zone at all, which means two markets get a number they have to translate before they can set an alarm.
Apple converts for the market, not for the city
The following conversions are ours, not Apple’s, and every one of them describes the same 12:00 UTC moment.
- Australia: Apple’s 10:00 pm AEST covers Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Adelaide is 9:30 pm and Perth is 8:00 pm. The page says AEST rather than AEDT because Australian daylight saving does not begin until October.
- Canada: from Apple’s 5:00 am PT, Toronto and Montreal are 8:00 am, Halifax is 9:00 am and St John’s is 9:30 am.
- New Zealand: midnight, which pushes the pre-order into Sunday, September 13, the only market in this set where the date changes.
- Ireland: 1:00 pm, the same clock as the UK.
- Elsewhere in the US: 8:00 a.m. Eastern, 7:00 a.m. Central, 6:00 a.m. Mountain, 4:00 a.m. in Alaska and 2:00 a.m. in Hawaii.
Why a foreign storefront does not buy you time
Because the ten published times are one instant, ordering from another country’s Apple Store cannot get you into a queue earlier. The variables that remain are the ones Apple states separately: the shipping method you pick and the availability date for that market.
Availability is Friday, September 18 in more than 65 countries and regions, with 20 more on Friday, September 25. Apple has named the September 25 markets nowhere, so a buyer in one of them has a date and no confirmation that it applies to them. The iPhone Duo runs on its own calendar, with pre-orders on October 16 and availability on October 23.
What Apple publishes about the order itself
The published mechanic is one sentence: “Choose your new iPhone today, then speed through checkout when pre-order starts at 5:00 a.m. PT on 9.12.” Everything else a buyer needs to know sits in Apple’s retail sales policies rather than on the product pages.
- Apple “may refuse or cancel any order or limit order quantity,” and says it can change the number available even after an order is placed.
- An order confirmation email does not signify acceptance of the order.
- If Apple cuts the price of a product within 14 calendar days of you receiving it, its policies let you ask for the difference.
- Apple’s Singapore page carries the only per-customer cap we have found in writing: two iPhone 18 Pro and two iPhone 18 Pro Max.
On delivery, Apple publishes a shipping rule rather than an arrival date: “Delivery estimates are based on item availability and the shipping option you choose. You’ll get a final delivery date after you place your order.” The price you are committing to is the other decision that is fixed at checkout.
What has not been confirmed
Apple has published no queue, waiting room or express checkout for iPhone pre-orders, no instruction that a saved bag carries into the pre-order, and no requirement to be signed in beforehand. It has published no stock data, so nothing about supply can be reported either way, and no order quantity limit outside the Singapore line above. It has also published no list of the 20 second-wave countries, and no local pre-order time for any market beyond the ten quoted here.
Pre-orders open at 12:00 UTC today, Saturday, September 12, which is 5:00 a.m. PT, 1:00 pm BST, 5:30 PM IST and 9:00 pm in Japan. Sales begin on Friday, September 18, and iOS 27 arrives free on Monday, September 14.
