The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299, both with 256GB of storage. That is $100 more than the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max cost at launch last year.
Apple confirmed the prices in its press release following the “Surprise and shine” event at Apple Park. The increase lands at the top of the range that our pre-event iPhone 18 Pro price coverage had discussed, and it comes alongside a new 2TB storage tier.
iPhone 18 Pro price vs iPhone 17 Pro
Both Pro models moved up by the same $100. The 6.3-inch iPhone 18 Pro now costs what the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max did a year ago.

Apple’s press release does not explain the increase. What buyers get for the extra $100, according to Apple’s announcement, is the A20 Pro chip built on a 2-nanometer process, a 48MP main camera with a variable aperture, a smaller Dynamic Island and longer battery life. Storage tiers and the new 2TB option
Both phones start at 256GB and are offered in four capacities. The 2TB tier is a first for the iPhone.
- 256GB: $1,199 (iPhone 18 Pro) or $1,299 (iPhone 18 Pro Max)
- 512GB: price not yet published by Apple
- 1TB: price not yet published by Apple
- 2TB: new this year, price not yet published by Apple
Apple has not listed the prices of the 512GB, 1TB or 2TB configurations in its press release. We will update once the Apple Store shows the full configurator when pre-orders open.
Monthly pricing: $49.95 or $54.12 for 24 months
Apple lists a monthly option alongside each starting price. The iPhone 18 Pro is $49.95 a month for 24 months, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max is $54.12 a month for 24 months.
Those figures correspond to the 256GB models. Apple has not published monthly figures for the larger storage tiers.
