Best iPhone 17 Pro Deals Before Today’s Event

Apple Shows iPhone 17 Pro Cooling Power in “Peak Performance” Ad

The best iPhone 17 Pro deals are getting more interesting just hours before Apple’s September 9 event, especially if you do not need whatever Apple announces next. The iPhone 17 Pro still starts at $1,099.99 in the US, but current carrier promotions can bring that cost down to $0 through monthly bill credits.

Apple’s “Surprise and shine” event begins today at 10 a.m. PT, or 1 p.m. ET and 10:30 p.m. IST. Apple is widely expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside its first foldable iPhone. T-Mobile also advertises the iPhone 17 Pro “On Us,” with up to $1,100 back through monthly bill credits. You need an eligible trade-in and qualifying service, while taxes and the connection charge still apply.

Verizon currently lists the iPhone 17 Pro at promotional pricing as low as $0 per month over 36 months, although the final discount depends on your account, plan, and selected offer.

Want an unlocked iPhone 17 Pro instead?

Carrier promotions deliver the biggest headline discounts, but they also lock the savings behind service plans and bill-credit periods. Swappa listings started around $799 on September 8, while unlocked 256GB models averaged about $1,047.

Buying today also means accepting that Apple is about to reveal its next Pro generation. The rumored iPhone 18 Pro upgrades include the A20 Pro chip and new camera hardware, so waiting until after the event gives you a clearer comparison and could bring additional iPhone 17 Pro discounts as retailers adjust inventory.

For buyers who already know they want the iPhone 17 Pro, however, the current $0 carrier promotions offer significantly more value than paying the full $1,099.99 retail price.
