Apple has not announced the iPhone 18 Pro price yet, but the latest reports suggest the new flagship will start at around $1,199 in the United States. That would make it $100 more expensive than the iPhone 17 Pro, which launched at $1,099.
Earlier estimates were considerably higher. Analysts previously suggested prices between $1,299 and $1,399 as Apple deals with expensive memory, storage, and new silicon, although newer reports now point toward Apple absorbing more of those costs. Why could the iPhone 18 Pro cost more?
Several expensive hardware changes are putting pressure on Apple’s bill of materials:
- The A20 Pro is expected to use TSMC’s newer 2nm manufacturing process.
- Both Pro models are expected to include 12GB of RAM.
- NAND flash and DRAM prices have risen sharply during the global memory shortage.
- Apple is reportedly preparing a variable-aperture main camera with more expensive components.
- Other expected upgrades include Apple’s C2 modem, a smaller Dynamic Island, and improved battery efficiency.

So, how much should you budget?
At this stage, $1,199 is the strongest estimate for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could start at $1,299. Earlier $1,299 to $1,399 predictions remain worth keeping in mind because component costs have changed rapidly throughout 2026.
