Apple’s iPhone Duo may ship with five StandBy faces that the company has not publicly detailed. The reported additions include two smart home views, a Snoopy face, and two visual styles called Flow and Fade.
Developer pdfu shared the findings in an X thread examining iOS 27.1 code. The developer says localization strings in an app called Rushmore expose the face names, while some of the views could be loaded in the current renderer. These are code discoveries, not features Apple has confirmed for the shipping phone.
Home Camera could show nine feeds
The most practical discovery is Home Camera. Text found in the software describes a single camera view or a grid containing as many as nine cameras from the Home app. That could turn a propped-up Duo into a compact monitor for doorbells, indoor cameras, and other HomeKit video sources.

Home Modular appears designed for smart home controls that a user can arrange. The finding does not establish which accessories or control types will be available, and Apple has not explained whether either Home face requires an active internet connection or a particular Duo position.
Snoopy is expected to bring the character to StandBy, although the final animation and customization choices remain unknown. The names Flow and Fade also appear in the strings, but their exact visuals have not been established. Pdfu describes Flow as a possible responsive art face and treats Fade as less certain.
The leak fills gaps in Apple’s description
Apple has described StandBy as reimagined for its foldable phone without publishing a complete face list. MacObserver previously documented the Duo’s five named positions and StandBy details, as well as its two Always-On displays.
The code findings expand that picture, but software discovered before release can change or remain disabled. Buyers should therefore treat the five names as a preview rather than a promised launch list. Apple says iPhone Duo arrives on October 23 with iOS 27.1, which is when the final StandBy selection can be verified on retail hardware.
