Amazon has reduced the base M6 Mac mini to $779.99 for fall Prime Day, down from a $899 list price. Higher-storage configurations are also discounted, with savings reaching about $150 on selected models.

The M6 Mac mini listing showed the 16GB memory and 256GB storage configuration at $779.99 on October 6. The 16GB and 512GB version was listed at $949.99, down from $1,099.

Buyers should compare exact configurations because the largest advertised discount does not apply to every Mac mini. Memory and storage cannot be upgraded internally after purchase, so a lower price on the base model is not automatically the best fit for heavier workloads.

Which configuration makes sense

The 256GB model is suitable for web use, office work and light creative tasks when external storage is acceptable. The 512GB option provides more breathing room for apps, local photo libraries and development tools without adding another drive immediately.

MacObserver’s M6 versus M4 Mac mini comparison covers the hardware changes, while our current Mac buying advice explains why the base mini fits many desktop users.

The sale is listed in U.S. dollars and may end before the October 7 event closes if stock runs out. Confirm the selected memory, storage and final checkout price before buying.

A display, keyboard and pointing device are not included, so first-time desktop buyers should add those costs when comparing the total setup price. Existing USB-C and Thunderbolt accessories may reduce that additional expense for many buyers during this sale.
