The newest software update for the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses is currently rolling out, and it brings some interesting features to the wearable device. Version 127 gives you direct access to your favorite social apps, brings in a much smarter artificial intelligence, and adds a bunch of fresh tools to help you take better pictures and chat with friends. This update makes it so you hardly need to pull out your phone anymore.
Check your Threads feed and post directly to Instagram Instants
With this new update, you can now scroll through your Threads feed right on the screen built into the glasses. You can look at pictures, like posts, send things in messages, and even use voice controls to get around the app, all without touching your phone.
Don’t miss the best of The Mac Observer
Set us as a preferred source and our Apple reporting ranks higher in your Google Search results and Discover feed — one tap, no account changes.
It also connects much better with Instagram now. If you snap a quick photo with the glasses, you can send it straight to Instagram Instants. This drops your fun, unedited pictures right into the new temporary feed that lives inside your direct messages.
Muse Spark AI brings smarter answers and better visual perception
The glasses are getting a huge brain boost with the addition of Muse Spark. This new artificial intelligence replaces the old system, and it is much better at understanding the world around you.
When you ask it questions about what you are looking at or need help with your day, it gives you quicker and more helpful answers. Because it can see things more clearly through the camera, the assistant actually understands real-world details much better than it did before.
New camera tools and conversation focus improve your daily experience
Your pictures will start looking a lot nicer thanks to two new camera updates. A feature called Dynamic Photo automatically takes a few shots every time you press the button, so you can pick the one where nobody is blinking. At the same time, Photo Ultra HDR makes sure the colors in your pictures look bright and real.
If you have a hard time hearing friends in loud rooms, the new Conversation Focus tool is a big help. It uses the microphones to pick up the voice of the person standing right in front of you while turning down the background noise. This makes chatting in a busy restaurant or crowded office much easier.
