Backlash Forces Apple to Also Release ‘Peanuts’ on PBS

Apple announced in October that the famous “Peanuts” holiday TV specials would exclusively move to the Apple TV+ platform. After much outcry from the public, including a petition, the company revealed a partnership with PBS to return these classic broadcasts.

On November 18 Apple TV+ will stream “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”, and it will launch for free users from November 25 to November 27. Meanwhile “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will launch on Apple TV+ on December 4, and free users can enjoy it on Apple TV December 11 through December 13.

With the addition of PBS, non-Apple users can watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will also air on PBS and PBS KIDS on November 22, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. local time / 6:30 p.m. CT. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will air on PBS and PBS KIDS on December 13, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. local time / 6:30 p.m. CT.

  • OFFS where were these people for the last 20 years when the show was so chopped up with commercials as to be unwatchable. No whining then. But Apple gets the rights and puts it out commercial free for free and some people act like they just pissed on the Mona Lisa.
