Telegram has rolled out a major visual refresh on Android, pushing its Liquid Glass design across the app. The update changes how the app looks and feels, marking the biggest redesign Telegram has delivered on Android in recent years.
Available with Telegram for Android version 12.4.0, the update is now rolling out widely through the Google Play Store. The redesign builds on changes introduced in late 2025, but this release takes the idea much further by applying the new style across the main interface.

UI inspired by iOS
The updated design introduces a four-tab bottom navigation bar. The tabs cover Chats, Contacts, Settings, and Profile, and the bar stays visible while you scroll. The layout closely mirrors the navigation style seen on iOS, with a focus on clarity and quick access.
Telegram has also added more transparent elements throughout the interface. These are most noticeable in light mode, where backgrounds and panels adopt a glass-like appearance. While it does not fully match the iOS version, the influence of Apple’s design language is clear.
