Apple has released tvOS 27.2 developer beta 1 to registered developers. The update is build 24K5088l. Apple’s beta 1 notes do not list a new Apple TV feature for viewers, but they include StoreKit Testing changes for developers using Xcode.
Apple labels this as pre-release software. It is best installed on an Apple TV that is not relied on for a critical home setup, and developers should test their own apps before recommending the beta to others.
How to update to tvOS 27.2 beta 1
- On Apple TV, open Settings and select System.
- Choose Software Updates.
- Turn on Get Beta Updates and select the tvOS developer beta option for the Apple Account enrolled for developer betas.
- Choose Update Software, then select tvOS 27.2 beta and follow the onscreen instructions.
All changes in tvOS 27.2 beta 1
- No Apple TV features are documented in beta 1: Apple’s tvOS 27.2 notes do not identify a viewer-facing feature, interface revision, or general Apple TV bug fix in this seed.
- StoreKit Testing fixes: the release notes describe fixes for introductory-offer eligibility, storefront and locale changes, and disabled purchase dialogs in Xcode’s test environment.
- StoreKit Testing known issue: a subscription-bundle member purchase can allow an unbundle action when testing, instead of returning the expected error.
