Apple Watch Hermès Series 12 arrives in a radiant gold titanium finish, paired with a Noir satin Clou de Selle band with a gold clasp and a new Rocabar Club band that carries a three-dimensional H pattern. Apple announced the Hermès edition alongside the standard Series 12 today, with pre-orders open now and in-store availability on Friday, September 18.

Radiant gold is one of two titanium finishes on the Series 12, next to natural, and the Hermès edition is the first place Apple is showing it with matching gold hardware. Apple has not published a price for Apple Watch Hermès Series 12; the standard aluminum Series 12 starts at $399, and titanium pricing is not in the release either. Our Series 12 preview covers what was expected before the keynote.

Apple Watch Hermès Series 12 bands: Clou de Selle and Rocabar Club

Apple’s release names two Hermès bands for the Series 12. The Clou de Selle comes in Noir satin with a gold clasp, matching the radiant gold case. The Rocabar Club is new this year and is described by Apple as having a three-dimensional H pattern.

Apple has not published the materials, sizes or prices of either band, and it has not said whether they are sold separately from the watch. Previous Hermès bands have been sold on their own, but that is not confirmed for these two.

What is the same as a regular Series 12

Underneath the Hermès finish, the watch is a titanium Series 12. That means the S11 chip, the new Health Sensing System with heart rate every 5 seconds and HRV every 5 minutes, the Readiness score, up to 24 hours of battery life and 15-minute charging that gives 12 hours.

  • Case: radiant gold titanium, in the same 42mm and 46mm sizes as the standard Series 12
  • Chip: S11 with the Secure Exclave for on-device audio processing
  • Health: new optical and electrical heart sensors, daytime vitals view, Readiness
  • Audio Intelligence: Sound Recognition, Live Rewind, Siri Recap and Shazam on the watch

Apple has not said whether the titanium case uses Ceramic Shield 2; the release specifies the new front crystal for aluminum models only.

How it compares with Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 4

Apple also announced an Hermès version of the Ultra 4 today, in natural titanium with a new Grand H titanium band that has a wetsuit extension mechanism and a Fathom and Wonder watch face with four ocean-depth options. The Series 12 Hermès is the dressier of the two, with the gold case and satin band, while the Ultra edition leans on the titanium bracelet.

Both Hermès watches are available to pre-order today and reach stores on September 18 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, India, Japan, UAE and more than 50 other countries. Apple has not published Hermès pricing for either model, and it has not said which countries carry the Hermès editions specifically. Our event recap has the full list of announcements.
