iPhone Duo costs $1,999 for the 256GB model in the US. Apple’s press release gives two other ways to pay: $83.29 a month for 24 months, or an Apple Upgrade lease from $57.99 a month on a 24-month term. Prices for the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB tiers are not published.
The monthly figure follows the same pattern Apple used for the iPhone 18 Pro this morning, where $1,199 became $49.95 a month and the $1,299 Pro Max became $54.12 a month over 24 months. Multiply the Duo’s $83.29 by 24 and you get $1,998.96, so the installment plan is the sticker price split into two years, not a discount. Our pre-event price rumors had the foldable at about this level, and Apple landed on it.
iPhone Duo price: three ways to pay
| Model | Up front (256GB) | 24 monthly payments | Apple Upgrade lease |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone Duo | $1,999 | $83.29 a month | From $57.99 a month, 24-month term |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | $1,299 | $54.12 a month | Not stated in Apple’s release |
| iPhone 18 Pro | $1,199 | $49.95 a month | Not stated in Apple’s release |
The Apple Upgrade option is the one that needs reading carefully. Apple describes it as a lease with a 24-month term, and $57.99 a month over 24 months comes to $1,391.76, well short of $1,999. That gap is the difference between leasing and owning. Apple has not published the lease terms beyond the monthly figure and the term length, including what happens at the end of the two years, so we cannot say more about it yet.

What the full iPhone Duo setup costs
The box contains the phone, running iOS 27.1, and a 1-meter USB-C cable. There is no charger. Apple’s fastest charging claim, 50 percent in about 20 minutes, assumes a 60W USB-C adapter, and its 30-minute figure assumes a 35W adapter plus MagSafe, so budget for one of those if you do not own it.
Apple has published two accessory prices: the iPhone Duo Case at $79, in sand and navy blue, and the iPhone Duo Folio with an integrated kickstand at $129, in navy blue and taupe. Satellite features, including Messages, Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via satellite, are included free for two years.
- iPhone Duo, 256GB: $1,999 or $83.29 a month
- iPhone Duo Case: $79
- iPhone Duo Folio with kickstand: $129
- 60W USB-C adapter: not in the box, price not in Apple’s release
- AppleCare for iPhone Duo: not published
Put the phone and the Folio together and the entry ticket is $2,128 before tax, a charger or AppleCare. That is $700 above an iPhone 18 Pro Max with no case, and our iPhone 18 Pro vs Pro Max guide has the Pro side of that math.
What Apple has not said about iPhone Duo pricing
- Prices for 512GB, 1TB and 2TB, and the monthly figures that go with them
- The terms of the Apple Upgrade lease beyond $57.99 a month and 24 months
- Trade-in values for older iPhones toward a Duo
- Carrier deals, or which carriers will sell the Duo directly beyond “select carriers”
- Prices outside the US; Apple’s release names more than 70 launch countries but gives only the US price
- AppleCare pricing for a phone with two displays and a hinge
