The iPhone Duo costs $1,999 for 256GB, $2,199 for 512GB, $2,599 for 1TB and $3,199 for 2TB, according to Apple’s Store page. Those are the first confirmed prices above the $1,999 starting figure Apple gave at Wednesday’s keynote and in its press release, and they make the 2TB Duo the most expensive iPhone Apple has ever listed.
Apple’s product page and press release named all four storage sizes but priced only the base model, as our iPhone Duo official roundup noted. With the Store page live, the full ladder is public, and it follows the same shape as the iPhone 18 Pro’s, only starting $800 higher.
iPhone Duo price for every storage tier
| Storage | iPhone Duo | Over 256GB | Over previous tier | iPhone 18 Pro Max | Duo premium |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | $1,999 | n/a | n/a | $1,299 | $700 |
| 512GB | $2,199 | $200 | $200 | $1,499 | $700 |
| 1TB | $2,599 | $600 | $400 | $1,899 | $700 |
| 2TB | $3,199 | $1,200 | $600 | $2,499 | $700 |
The steps are $200 from 256GB to 512GB ($2,199 minus $1,999), $400 from 512GB to 1TB ($2,599 minus $2,199) and $600 from 1TB to 2TB ($3,199 minus $2,599). Added together, the 2TB Duo is $1,200 more than the 256GB Duo, the same $1,200 spread Apple applies to the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

Why the $1,200 spread hurts less on a Duo
On the iPhone 18 Pro, $1,200 on top of a $1,199 base price doubles the cost of the phone. On the Duo, $1,200 on top of $1,999 is an increase of about 60 percent (1,200 divided by 1,999 is 0.6003). The dollar amounts are identical, so the storage upgrade is the same money either way, but as a share of the bill it is smaller on the foldable.
The comparison with the iPhone 18 Pro Max is the cleaner one. At every tier the Duo costs exactly $700 more than the Pro Max with the same storage: $1,999 against $1,299, $2,199 against $1,499, $2,599 against $1,899 and $3,199 against $2,499. Against the smaller iPhone 18 Pro the gap is $800 at every tier. Our Duo versus Pro Max comparison goes through what the $700 buys in hardware.
- 256GB to 512GB: plus $200
- 512GB to 1TB: plus $400
- 1TB to 2TB: plus $600
- 256GB to 2TB: plus $1,200, about 60 percent of the base price
Monthly pricing and Apple Upgrade
Apple’s press release gives two monthly figures for the 256GB Duo. The first is $83.29 a month for 24 months, which multiplies out to $1,998.96, four cents under the $1,999 sticker. The second is the Apple Upgrade lease from $57.99 a month on a 24-month term, which totals $1,391.76 over the term; because it is a lease rather than a purchase, that total does not equal the price of the phone.
Apple has not published monthly figures for the 512GB, 1TB or 2TB models. As a guide only, dividing the Store prices by 24 gives about $91.62 for 512GB, $108.29 for 1TB and $133.29 for 2TB. Those are our division, not Apple’s terms, and Apple Upgrade figures for the higher tiers have not been listed at all.
What the same storage is used for on a Duo
The Duo’s camera system is smaller than the iPhone 18 Pro’s, with two 48MP Fusion sensors, a main and an Ultra Wide, and no telephoto lens, as our iPhone Duo cameras explainer covers. Video still runs up to 4K Dolby Vision at 120 fps, and features like Dual Capture and Smart Take add clips and frames of their own, so the storage case is similar even without the third lens.
The stronger argument for a bigger Duo is the 7.6-inch inner display and iOS 27.1’s Split View, which Apple pitches for running two apps side by side. Apple’s own product page shows Netflix, Slack, Zoom and Safari on the inner screen, the kind of use that fills a phone with downloads rather than photographs.
Accessories add to whichever tier you pick. Apple lists the iPhone Duo Case at $79 and the iPhone Duo Folio with kickstand at $129, so a 2TB Duo with the Folio comes to $3,328 before tax, and a 256GB Duo with the Case comes to $2,078.
Pre-orders open Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT, with availability Friday, October 23 in more than 70 countries and regions, and 28 more on October 30. Apple has not published Duo prices outside the US, and it has not said whether every storage tier will be in stock on day one.
