Every hardware product Apple announced today, apart from the iPhone Duo, goes on sale on the same day. The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 all reach stores on Friday, September 18, nine days after the “Surprise and shine” keynote.
Five products on one Friday makes this the densest single launch day Apple has scheduled for a September event, and it comes four days after iOS 27 and watchOS 27 arrive as free updates on Monday, September 14. Our full event recap covers everything Apple showed.

- iPhone 18 Pro Max, from $1,299, in the same countries
- AirPods 5, $129, and AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case, $149, in the US and more than 65 countries
- Apple Watch Series 12, from $399, in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, India, Japan, UAE and more than 50 other countries and regions
- Apple Watch Ultra 4, from $799, on the same schedule as Series 12
- New iPhone 18 Pro cases and wrist strap, plus new Sport Band, Sport Loop, Milanese Loop, Modern Buckle, Trail Loop, Alpine Loop and Ocean Band colors
The software lands first
iOS 27 and watchOS 27 are both dated Monday, September 14, so existing iPhone and Apple Watch owners get the new Siri AI beta, the redesigned Health app and the new watch faces before any of the new hardware ships. Siri AI launches in English, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish following in October.

That order matters for AirPods 5 buyers in particular, because hands-free Siri AI on the earbuds needs iOS 27 and an Apple Intelligence iPhone. How the pre-order dates feed into launch day
AirPods 5, Series 12 and Ultra 4 opened for pre-order today, September 9. The two iPhones open on Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. PT. Despite the three-day gap in order dates, Apple has given all five products the same September 18 delivery target.
The iPhone rollout has a second wave that the other products do not: 20 additional countries get the iPhone 18 Pro on Friday, September 25. Apple has not published which countries are in the second group. In 12 markets, including the US, Canada, Japan and Mexico, the phones are eSIM-only.
What is not arriving on September 18
The iPhone Duo is the exception. According to the keynote, Apple’s first foldable arrives in October at about $2,000, in White and Dark Blue, with the A20 Pro chip. Apple has not published a press release for it, and there is no pre-order date yet.
Nothing else is coming this month. There is no standard iPhone 18, no iPhone Air 2, no new Mac and no new Apple Watch SE, as we explained in why Apple isn’t launching a standard iPhone 18 today.
Apple has not published store opening hours for September 18 or said whether walk-in stock will be available on day one. Based on previous launches, pre-orders placed on the first day of each window are the most reliable way to get a launch-day delivery.
