iPad Lands T3 Gadget of the Year Award

T3’s Gadget Awards for 2010 are out, and Apple took top honors in several categories including Gadget of the Year with the iPad. Apple came out on top in five of the 19 categories including Innovation of the Year, Commuter Gadget of the Year, Retailer of the Year, and Computer of the Year in addition to Gadget of the Year.

Along with Gadget of the Year, the iPad won the Innovation of the Year award. The MacBook Pro won Computer of the Year, and Apple was dubbed Retailer of the Year.

The iPhone 4 beat our the iPad to take the top position in the Commuter Gadget of the Year category, although it lost out to HTC’s Desire in the Phone of the Year category because of its antenna-related issues and how Apple handled the situation.

Other award winners included Google Maps Navigation for App of the Year, Samsung’s Navibot for Home Gadget of the Year, and the Xacti VPC-CS1 from Sanyo for Camcorder of the Year.
