WhatsApp Finally Brings Multi-Account Support to iPhone Testers

WhatsApp In-App message Translations

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that finally lets you use more than one account on the same iPhone. Meta added the option in the latest TestFlight beta, giving you a cleaner way to switch between accounts without tricks or extra apps. The update focuses fully on multi-account support and aims to cut the need for workarounds.

WABetaInfo shared the feature in the latest build and confirmed that some testers can already add and manage two accounts from the settings menu. This early rollout shows that WhatsApp wants to make the experience easier, especially for people who rely on two numbers.

Right now, users often switch between the main app and WhatsApp Business. With this beta, you can handle everything inside one place, and the process feels more direct.

How the New Setup Works

Inside the app, testers see a new section called Account List in the settings menu. Some users also find a button for it next to the QR code icon. This panel lets you add a second account without needing another device. The app accepts a completely new number, an old account you used before, or a companion account linked by scanning a QR code.

Once connected, WhatsApp syncs messages and settings on its own. The second account works separately and keeps its own chat history, backup settings, and notification tones. This separation helps you avoid mixing personal and work conversations.

WABetaInfo also reports that notifications now show which account received a message. This detail removes confusion and makes switching between accounts feel natural.

There is still no public release date, but the feature already looks polished enough that you can expect a wider rollout soon.
