Apple pushed out visionOS 26.2 on Friday, December 12, 2025. Now the next cycle has already started: visionOS 26.3 beta 1 is available to registered developers, with build number 23N5588c.
This first visionOS 26.3 beta arrived on December 15, 2025, just a few days after the 26.2 release. If you test developer software on Apple Vision Pro, this is the build you will see in Software Update once your device is enrolled for developer betas.
How to update
- Make sure your Apple Vision Pro is signed in with an Apple ID enrolled in the developer program or a developer account that has access to betas.
- Open Settings on Apple Vision Pro.
- Tap General.
- Tap Software Update.
- Tap Beta Updates, choose the visionOS Developer Beta, then go back.
- Download and install visionOS 26.3 beta 1 (23N5588c).
Changes in beta 1
Apple has posted the new beta, but early builds like this usually start with performance work, bug fixes, and behind-the-scenes changes rather than a long public feature list on day one.
If you are coming from visionOS 26.2, expect the same general experience at first, then watch for app-level behavior changes, UI tweaks, and developer-facing updates as testers spend time with the build and Apple revises the release notes across later betas.
If you spot anything new in visionOS 26.3 beta 1, let us know in the comments.
