Monarch: Legacy of Monsters returns to Apple TV next month with season 2, and the first trailer confirms a major addition. A new creature, called Titan X, enters the story alongside Godzilla and King Kong.
The series remains one of Apple TV’s biggest science-fiction productions. It blends human drama with large-scale monster action, and season 2 aims to raise the stakes without losing that balance.
A Bigger Threat in Season 2
Season 2 premieres on Friday, February 27. New episodes will arrive weekly through May 1. The show again stars Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell, who play different versions of Army officer Lee Shaw across two timelines.
This time, Monarch faces its most dangerous moment yet. The trailer introduces Titan X, a powerful new monster that signals a larger conflict ahead. At the same time, Godzilla and King Kong continue to shape the world in the background.
Apple says the story moves to Kong’s Skull Island and to a hidden village where a mythical titan rises from the sea. Past events begin to affect the present in direct ways. Family ties strain. Old secrets resurface. The threat of a massive titan event hangs over every decision.
The Plot
Season one followed two siblings as they uncovered their family’s link to Monarch, the secret organization that tracks monsters. Their search led them to Lee Shaw and into a long-running battle that stretched from the 1950s to modern day.
Season two picks up with Monarch and the world at risk. The series keeps its focus on people first, even as the scale of the monsters grows.
You can stream the full first season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters now on Apple TV before the new episodes arrive.
