Apple does not sell these fixtures through its own accessories store, which is why this is getting attention. Apple’s online accessory catalog focuses on consumer products, not the in-store display hardware you see attached to demo units.

AppleUnsold appears to operate from Australia and sells through its own site and eBay. Early reporting notes an eBay account showing 100% positive feedback from a small number of transactions, with buyers claiming the items look like genuine Apple hardware.

These listings can be tempting, but you need to think like a careful buyer.
