Apple has launched a new Education Hub in Bengaluru to train and upskill people working across its supply chain in India. The center brings Apple’s training programs under one roof and gives factory workers a place to learn digital skills, Swift coding, and modern manufacturing tools. The hub starts classes in March and aims to support long term career growth for thousands of supplier employees across the country.
Apple confirmed the launch in a company announcement and said the Bengaluru hub is its first education center of this kind in India. The company built the facility in partnership with Manipal Academy of Higher Education, also known as MAHE. Faculty from MAHE will lead training in digital literacy and Swift programming. They will also train local instructors so they can run classes inside their own factories.

Sarah Chandler, Apple’s vice president of Environment and Supply Chain Innovation, said the program reflects the same mindset that shapes Apple’s products. She said Apple is “thrilled to expand our technical training courses in India” and give workers a chance to “learn valuable new skills” and “explore new paths for career growth.”
Nationwide push for skills
Apple is also expanding training at more than 25 supplier sites across India. The new courses start with Tata Electronics and cover digital literacy, Swift coding, robotics, automation technology, and smart manufacturing. Apple is paying for the program through its global $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund, which supports education across its supply chain.
These new courses build on over 75 programs that Apple already runs in India. The training includes technical skills, professional development, health education, and rights awareness so workers understand workplace standards and protections.
Apple also plans to grow its robotics education program, which started in India in December 2024. The company trains factory teachers in robotics labs and then sends them back to run hands-on classes inside their own facilities.
Apple is also expanding its Vocational Education for Persons with Disabilities program in India. The company launched the program with Salcomp and runs it with Enable India. So far, the initiative has helped more than 18,000 workers worldwide. It focuses on jobs, training, safety, and accessibility inside Apple’s supplier factories.
