Apple TV Surveys Users on Content Quality and Sports Interest

Apple TV April 2026

Apple is reaching out to a select group of its streaming video subscribers to find out exactly what they think about the current state of its platform. The company recently started sending out a detailed questionnaire that takes about fifteen minutes to complete.

This new survey asks viewers to rate the overall quality of available shows and movies while actively gauging their interest in live sports and new entertainment categories.

Viewers share which new entertainment categories they want to see

The survey asks people if they feel the current lineup of shows and movies is culturally relevant and emotionally engaging. It wants to know how much industry awards or general buzz influence what a subscriber chooses to watch on a given night. It also questions users on the production value of original releases.

The company gives subscribers a chance to request new types of programming. The list of potential additions includes stand-up comedy, competition reality shows, and localized content. It also asks if users want more classic films added to the catalog.

Before finishing this section, the survey makes sure to check if the user is aware of the Family Sharing feature.

The questionnaire measures subscriber interest in major sports leagues

A large portion of the questions focuses completely on athletics. The survey asks subscribers to rate their fandom levels across a variety of professional leagues. The options cover major associations in the USA and abroad, including the National Football League, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, and the Premier League. The survey also lists tennis, volleyball, and Formula One racing.

The company wants to know if viewers have an interest in sports commentary programs, like pre-game shows and post-game analysis.

Finally, the survey asks an open question about what one thing a user would change about Apple TV. Right now, a standard subscription costs $12.99 a month.
