Apple Expands Apple Watch and AirPods Health Features to India, Italy, and Taiwan

Apple has expanded several important Apple Health features to more countries, bringing new Apple Watch and AirPods health tools to users in India, Italy, and Taiwan. The latest rollout includes Hearing Test, sleep apnea notifications, Hearing Aid support, and hypertension notifications, as Apple continues pushing deeper into health-focused features across its ecosystem.

The biggest update comes for users in India, where Apple has now enabled both Hearing Test and sleep apnea notifications. These features were previously limited to select regions because of local regulatory approvals, but Indian users can now access them on supported Apple devices.

Apple Health features now available in India

The Hearing Test feature works with AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3, allowing users to check their hearing directly through Apple’s ecosystem without needing separate hardware. At the same time, sleep apnea notifications are now available on supported Apple Watch models, including Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch SE 3.

Apple says these tools are designed to help users identify potential health issues earlier and make health tracking more accessible in daily use.

Italy and Taiwan also get new health tools

Apple also expanded its Hearing Aid feature to Italy. This feature supports AirPods Pro models and helps users with mild to moderate hearing loss by turning compatible AirPods into hearing assistance devices.

Meanwhile, Taiwan now supports hypertension notifications on Apple Watch Series 9 and later models, including Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing, shared the update on X, saying Apple Health features are now available in more than 160 countries and regions worldwide.
