One iOS 27.2 Beta 3 Tester Says AssistiveTouch and Wallet Lag Is Gone

One iPhone tester says iOS 27.2 beta 3 removes lag previously seen with AssistiveTouch and Wallet. Apple has not listed either change as an official fix, so the result should be treated as an individual observation.

The user reported in the iOS 27.2 beta 3 discussion thread that the lag experienced with both features was gone after updating. The comment does not identify the iPhone model or provide a before-and-after recording.

AssistiveTouch can replace hardware-button presses and complex gestures with an onscreen menu. Apple’s user guide also explains that people with a Face ID iPhone can use it to confirm Apple Pay transactions instead of double-clicking the side button.

The report is encouraging but limited

That connection makes a delay especially noticeable for people who rely on AssistiveTouch during Wallet payments. Even so, one successful result cannot show whether beta 3 changes AssistiveTouch itself, Wallet, the confirmation animation or another part of the system.

Feedback on beta 3 remains mixed in other areas. MacObserver’s broader beta report notes that some testers still see Clear app icon lag even as GPS accuracy appears better.

Anyone who depends on accessibility features for daily use should be cautious with prerelease software. Testers who can reproduce the earlier delay should include their device model and exact action when sending feedback to Apple.

No additional device reports or repeatable timing measurements were included in the discussion. That makes the comment useful as an early signal, but not evidence of a systemwide performance fix. Apple has not confirmed the report.
