iOS 27: Apple Wallet Could Add Custom Pass Creation and Bill Splitting

iOS 27: New Features, Release Timeline, and All Leaks So Far

Apple is expected to announce iOS 27 in just a few days, and a new report suggests that Apple Wallet will receive two practical upgrades that could make everyday tasks much easier. The changes focus on creating digital passes and simplifying bill splitting, giving iPhone users more reasons to rely on Apple Wallet throughout the day.

According to Bloomberg, iOS 27 will introduce a new “Create a Pass” option inside Apple Wallet. This feature will reportedly allow users to convert physical cards and passes into digital versions directly from the Wallet app.

Some examples include:

  • Gym memberships, loyalty cards, and rewards programs: Users will reportedly be able to add cards that do not currently support Apple Wallet, making them easier to access from their iPhone.
  • Event tickets and membership passes: Apple is said to offer different templates, including Standard, Membership, and Events, with options to customize names, images, and styles for better organization.

Easier Bill Splitting for Groups

Apple Wallet is also expected to gain a new bill-splitting feature tied to Apple Cash. Users will reportedly be able to take a photo of a restaurant receipt, assign items to different people, and automatically calculate taxes and tips before sending payment requests.

This feature could be especially useful for group dinners, trips, and shared expenses, where tracking individual costs often becomes confusing. If the report is accurate, Apple Wallet will become a more convenient tool for managing both payments and everyday passes in iOS 27.
