iCloud syncing helps Siri maintain context across Apple devices while keeping the experience tied to the user’s Apple Account. This fits Apple’s broader push toward a more personal Siri with stronger app awareness, personal context, and Apple Intelligence support.
With saved conversations, Siri becomes closer to a modern AI assistant that remembers ongoing tasks, research, and follow-up questions across devices.
While the chats themselves will be synced across devices, the underlying Siri conversation will be dependent on device-specific information. So if you switch a conversation from one device to another — say, from your iPhone to your Mac — then some of Siri’s context may get lost because the iPhone knew things the Mac doesn’t. This isn’t likely to come into play very often, but could be an issue if there are apps or accounts that you only use on one device.
