Baseball fans have a new set of games to look forward to next month. The hardware maker Apple and Major League Baseball just dropped the official August schedule for Friday Night Baseball. This upcoming slate brings another month of weekly doubleheaders to screens in 60 different countries. Fans can expect to see major teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, and Cardinals face off over the four weeks.

The broadcast calendar features classic rivalries and weekly matchups

The schedule highlights a few iconic rivalries that fans always watch closely. Subscribers will be able to catch these matchups every single Friday.

  • August 7: Baltimore Orioles at Texas Rangers, 8 p.m. ET and Tampa Bay Rays at Seattle Mariners, 9:30 p.m. ET
  • August 14: St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs, 2 p.m. ET and New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays, 7 p.m. ET
  • August 21: Tampa Bay Rays at Baltimore Orioles, 7 p.m. ET and Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers, 8 p.m. ET
  • August 28: Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees, 7 p.m. ET and Seattle Mariners at Toronto Blue Jays, 7 p.m. ET

The platform offers familiar broadcasting voices and local radio options

The company confirmed that for the fifth straight season, its usual broadcast teams will return to call the action. Wayne Randazzo, Dontrelle Willis, and Heidi Watney make up one crew, while Alex Faust, Ryan Spilborghs, and Tricia Whitaker form the other. Rich Waltz will also join the booth to call select games. The pregame shows are hosted by Lauren Gardner alongside former player Eric Hosmer and baseball insider Russell Dorsey.

If you prefer to listen to your home team’s announcers, the service gives you that choice. Viewers in the United States and Canada can switch the audio feed to local radio broadcasts during the game. This feature depends on local availability, and Canadian viewers will only have this option for Toronto Blue Jays home games. This simple audio toggle makes the streaming video experience feel much closer to watching traditional local television.

Anyone wanting to catch these games will need an active subscription to Apple TV, which costs $12.99 per month or comes included with the Apple One bundle. As the regular season heads toward the final stretch, these doubleheaders offer a solid way to watch the playoff picture take shape.
