Former Apple CFO Luca Maestri is continuing to step away from Apple after giving up his corporate services role, leaving him with almost no day-to-day responsibilities at the company.
Bloomberg reports that Maestri remains on Apple’s payroll and still hosts a popular class at Apple University, but he now visits the office about once a week and no longer reports to new CEO John Ternus.
Maestri stepped down as Apple CFO at the end of 2024, with Kevan Parekh taking over the finance role. He later continued overseeing corporate services, including information systems, security, and corporate real estate.

Parekh has now taken over those responsibilities as Apple adjusts its leadership structure under Ternus, while executives including Sabih Khan and Eddy Cue are gaining larger roles.
The change also follows Phil Schiller stepping back from his reduced responsibilities, suggesting Apple is moving away from Tim Cook’s practice of keeping departing executives in smaller positions for years.
