Apple Stores open at 8 a.m. local time on September 18, the day iPhone 18 Pro goes on sale in stores. All 12 store pages we checked in nine countries list that opening, and the eight outside the US add a warning that some services, such as Genius Bar, may not be available.
The same day brings Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 to stores. We read each store’s own Apple page on September 16, and Apple can change hours at any time.

Most of these stores simply open one to three hours early and close at their usual time. The Grove stays open an hour later than it does on September 17, and The Dubai Mall runs to 11:59 p.m. Sydney’s 8 p.m. close is its normal hour; only its September 17 late night runs to 9 p.m.

Fifth Avenue closes before it reopens
Apple’s glass cube on Fifth Avenue normally lists its hours as 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., which means it never closes. Its page shows a break for the launch: the store closes at 10 p.m. on September 17, reopens at 8 a.m. on September 18 and stays open until 11:59 p.m. Round-the-clock hours return on September 19.
If you planned a late visit on the evening of September 17, go before 10 p.m. or wait for the 8 a.m. opening.
What the Genius Bar warning says
Regent Street’s page is typical: “Special opening hours. Some services, such as Genius Bar, may not be available.” Sydney, Toronto, Singapore, Dubai and Mumbai use nearly the same sentence, and the Berlin and Tokyo pages say the same in German and Japanese.
The four US pages mark September 18 only with “Special store hours” and carry no Genius Bar line. Each still lists Genius Bar by appointment among its services.
Apple’s word is “may”, so the Genius Bar isn’t necessarily closed. If a repair or battery check at one of the international stores can wait, another day is the safer bet. If it can’t, look for an appointment first, and check your store’s page again on the morning of September 18.
How to check your own store
Go to apple.com/retail, search for your store and open its page. The hours table covers the next seven days, an asterisk marks any day on special hours, and any note about services sits directly under the table.
Some pages already reach September 22, when the new Mac mini and Mac Studio go on sale. Sydney, Mumbai, Tokyo, Singapore and Dubai show no special hours for that day.
