The consequences are less complete. Diego’s expulsion addresses one person, but the senior-cadet culture and adult choices that enabled the abuse do not disappear. A continuation could examine whether Minerva truly reforms or simply protects itself with a visible punishment.
The main mystery has an answer
Vincenzo’s decision about the military future chosen by his family can develop outside the first-year pressure. Camilla’s growth and her connection with Salvo also leave emotional material that does not require undoing the finale’s closure.
A second season could follow the cadets into another year, introduce a new class or shift attention toward the academy’s leadership. Any of those approaches would preserve the setting while giving the series a different central question.
Minerva still contains unfinished stories
The series uses military discipline as more than visual atmosphere. Dawn flag ceremonies, uniforms, restricted phones, tactics classes and fencing create a culture where reputation can outrank candor. The finale challenges that culture without pretending one exposed cover-up can reform the entire institution overnight, which is why its emotional answers feel firmer than its institutional resolution.
The eight-episode structure gives the mystery a complete answer while leaving relationships unsettled. Salvo, Vincenzo and Camilla enter with identities imposed by grief, family ambition or parental punishment. Their final choices matter because each begins deciding what kind of adult to become instead of simply meeting the academy’s definition of success.
Another strength is the way the younger ensemble carries questions usually assigned to adults. The cadets notice contradictions, compare private evidence and decide when obedience becomes complicity. That perspective keeps the drama centered on students without suggesting they alone should repair failures created by senior cadets, families and school leaders. Their friendships become an alternative source of truth when official channels fail them.
