Wanda is back with the Klatt family after the Season 1 search, but the reunion does not restore ordinary life. The Season 2 trailer opens with Wanda in jail and then flashes back to a death she encountered onstage at the town funfair, placing her at the center of another investigation.
The new mystery changes Wanda’s role. Season 1 made her the missing person Dedo, Carlotta and Ole were desperate to locate. Season 2 gives her information that authorities want and consequences she must face herself, while her family’s habit of interfering is likely to complicate both.

Wanda returned home at the end of Season 1
The first season began with the Klatts spying on their neighbors after police failed to find their 17-year-old daughter. Their improvised surveillance uncovered secrets across the suburb and eventually brought Wanda back to them. The finale therefore resolved the immediate question of whether the family would be reunited.
It did not erase what the search did to them. Dedo and Carlotta crossed legal and personal boundaries, Ole became part of their operation, and Wanda returned to a household that had spent months turning suspicion into a way of life. The trailer suggests those habits survive the happy reunion.
The funfair death puts Wanda in danger again
The trailer’s most important image is Wanda behind bars. A flashback connects that position to the discovery of a body onstage during the funfair. It does not establish that Wanda killed anyone. It shows that she is close enough to the event to be arrested, questioned or used as a suspect.
That setup lets the series preserve its original balance. A frightening crime drives the plot, while the Klatts’ attempts to help can create the comedy. This time, however, Wanda can push back against the rescue mission rather than remain absent from it.
Season 2 keeps the family mystery alive
Apple has confirmed eight episodes beginning October 21. The trailer also shows that Wanda’s return has not repaired every relationship or restored the family’s trust in official investigators. It promises another genuinely dangerous local conspiracy but does not identify the victim, explain the arrest or reveal whether the unresolved “King” thread controls the new case.
