Last Seen Episode 5 is due Wednesday, September 30, 2026, on Apple TV. The new episode must turn Ian’s search into a rescue after Jenna confirms Sarah is really Maggie and Henry escapes with both of them.
Ian finally has the answer he has chased for 11 years, but it arrives in the worst possible form. Sarah has been raised under another identity, Henry controls where she goes, and the confrontation leaves Bill shot. Finding the vehicle is now only the first part of the problem.

Ian has proof but no safe reunion
Jenna’s confession ends the question of Sarah’s identity. She says Sarah is not her and Henry’s biological daughter, supporting Ian’s claim that the teenager is Maggie. The musical toy also reaches a buried memory, giving Sarah an emotional reason to doubt the life Henry constructed around her.
That does not mean she will immediately see Ian as her father. Sarah knows him as the stranger who arrived with police and shattered her family story. Episode 5 has to let Ian protect her without demanding instant trust, especially while Henry can portray the search as a threat.
Henry’s escape makes Jenna the key witness
Henry leaves with Jenna and Sarah after the shooting, keeping the one person who publicly contradicted him under his control. Jenna may know where he plans to go and what support awaits him there. She may also be the only person Sarah currently trusts enough to challenge his version of events.
Her condition adds urgency. Jenna is wounded, and Henry cannot keep moving indefinitely without exposing himself. Any stop for treatment, fuel or supplies could give Ian and the police the trace they need, but it could also make Henry more desperate.
Bill’s shooting changes Ian’s options
Episode 4 shows Bill being shot but does not conclusively establish his death. Until his fate is clear, the authorities are dealing with an injured officer, an armed escape and a child-abduction case at once. Ian is unlikely to be given freedom to conduct the pursuit on his own terms.
Ian will also have to decide how much of Maggie’s childhood to reveal while she is frightened and still processing Jenna’s confession.
The central question for Episode 5 is therefore not whether Ian has found Maggie. He has. It is whether he can reach Sarah before Henry isolates her again, and whether Sarah will choose the truth when she does not yet know the man offering it. What should Ian say to her first?
