Prince Charming is an Everafter and the mayor of Ferryport Landing, voiced by Abubakar Salim. He is not simply the flawless prince from one bedtime story. In The Sisters Grimm, Charming is a political operator whose authority, pride and long history with the town make residents question what he wants from each investigation.
Season 2 brings him directly into the girls’ work. Apple’s official Episode 2 description says Mayor Charming tasks the Grimms with untangling a web of clues. That makes him a source of access and information, but it also puts him in a position to choose what the sisters investigate and how much he tells them.

Charming is a mayor as well as a fairy-tale prince
Ferryport Landing is populated by Everafters, fairy-tale figures living in the modern world. Charming has converted the status attached to his old story into civic power. A title that once promised a happy ending now comes with budgets, alliances and responsibility for a community full of competing histories.

That political role complicates every favor. When Charming sends Sabrina and Daphne after clues, he may genuinely need their family expertise. He may also benefit from keeping the Grimm detectives focused on one problem while other interests remain protected. Suspicion is reasonable because power gives him both information and a reason to manage it.
His confidence can look like concealment
Charming presents himself as someone accustomed to being obeyed. Sabrina, by contrast, entered Ferryport Landing after years of unstable foster care and does not give trust easily. His polished manner therefore clashes with her instinct to test every adult’s story.
The town’s unease also reflects the gap between a famous name and a complicated person. Everafters remember versions of events that human stories have simplified. Charming’s heroic label does not automatically prove that every choice he makes as mayor is selfless.
The Grimms need his help without surrendering judgment
Sabrina and Daphne are still searching for answers about their missing parents. Charming can open doors in Ferryport Landing, but accepting his assignment does not require accepting his interpretation. Their best approach is to use what he knows while verifying it against the evidence.
His presence also teaches the sisters to separate reputation from evidence. A royal title and a familiar fairy-tale name create instant expectations, yet detectives must judge decisions being made now. Charming may do useful things for self-interested reasons, or make poor choices while trying to protect the town. That ambiguity is more revealing than a simple villain turn.
Season 2 makes Charming valuable precisely because he cannot be reduced to ally or villain. Do you trust Ferryport Landing’s mayor, or do you think his helpfulness hides another agenda? Share your reading below.
