iOS 27.2 Beta 3 Adds a New Apple TV App Splash Screen Ahead of the October Update

The Apple TV app now presents an updated What’s New screen in iOS 27.2 beta 3. The splash screen highlights profiles, giving users a brief introduction to the app change when they open it after updating.

The new screen is shown in the Beta Profiles changelog for the October 5 developer build. Apple separately lists the software as build 24B5099f in its developer release catalog.

Profiles are intended to keep viewing activity and recommendations separate for people sharing an Apple TV experience. The onboarding screen makes that feature more visible, but the beta finding does not establish additional profile limits or new subscription rules.

The October timing remains unconfirmed

Apple has not attached a public stable-release date to the splash screen. The company can update app assets during a beta cycle without shipping the operating-system update on a particular day.

The screen also should not be confused with Apple’s separate Formula 1 changes in the United States. Those concern live sports presentation and availability, while this beta item is an interface introduction inside the TV app.

Testers may see the page only on first launch, and Apple can revise its wording before release. The confirmed change is limited to a new introductory screen in beta 3.

Because the screen highlights profiles, households sharing viewing recommendations may find it useful. The final behavior will need to be checked again when Apple releases iOS 27.2 publicly.
