Task management app Things has rolled out a major update just in time for the new folding device from Apple. Cultured Code, the developer behind the popular productivity tool, released version 3.25 to fully support the iPhone Duo. The fresh update brings a highly adaptive layout, adding multi-window capabilities and a brand-new sidebar to make organizing daily tasks much easier on the expanding display.
The layout shifts as you fold and unfold the device
The app now automatically adjusts to however you hold your iPhone. It looks and works great whether the device is snapped shut, fully wide open, or partially folded like a reading book. Both portrait and landscape angles are supported natively, so the interface always fits the wider screen properly.
When you open the folding screen, a sidebar appears on the left side. This is the first time Things has offered a sidebar on a phone, letting you quickly jump between different to-do lists. You can also run two windows of the app side by side and drag tasks from one list directly into another.

To keep things easy to reach, the developers placed the main controls in a vertical bar right near your thumb. This includes the Magic Plus button, which you can drag into any spot on your list to drop a new task right there. For those who prefer physical typing, connecting a keyboard unlocks features like quick list navigation and keyboard shortcuts.
With the folding device launching this week, seeing major productivity tools ready on day one is a huge plus. You can check the developer’s status page or jump into the app store right now to grab the latest version, giving you plenty of time to set up your workflow before your new device arrives.
