The latest software updates for the Apple Creator Studio are finally making their way to users, and the rollout is officially starting with Logic Pro. Apple is bringing a fresh wave of tools to its popular digital audio workstation, mixing helpful artificial intelligence features with solid workflow improvements. This release focuses on giving musicians better ways to organize their sounds, split audio tracks, and control their ongoing projects across different devices.
The update brings a fresh look and smarter audio tools
Logic Pro now features a new Liquid Glass design that makes the interface lighter and easier to read. You will notice translucent menus and better contrast while working on a Mac. The update also makes it much easier to track down specific audio files and manage your overall sample collection.
Here are the main features included in the release:

- Use the enhanced Stem Splitter to pull apart drum tracks into separate kick, snare, hi-hat, and cymbal parts without needing the original multitracks.
- Find matching samples and browse your licensed Splice sounds right next to your personal library.
- Add custom folders from your computer as direct browser locations for quicker access.
- Turn an iPad into a multi-touch controller using Sidecar to adjust plugins, trigger loops, and control mixer channels.
The intelligent assistant requires a paid monthly subscription plan
While the visual changes and basic tools are available to everyone, the biggest software addition comes with a catch. The new intelligent assistant is locked behind a paywall. People who bought the software with a one-time purchase of $199.99 will not get access to these advanced features.
To use the new assistant, you need an active subscription that costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year. The beta feature also requires Apple silicon and macOS 27 or later. This split in features shows a clear push to move professional users toward a recurring payment model. If you want the smartest tools available, the flat fee is no longer enough to get you there.
